Fund4Families:

New York State was drastically impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, especially our essential frontline workers.  I’ve decided to help the under-mentioned families of those who sacrificed their lives to help others during such a hectic and scary time. About a month ago, I started a gofundme page aimed towards the families of deceased essential workers. I received about 30 donations and raised about $1500 so far. In these times, we’re just lingering at home but it can be very useful in our young lives so I invite you to be a part of it and help those in need. Your involvement in this project should be fulfilling on a personal level, not only for credit.

Kids Hack:

What is Kids Hack?

At Kids Hack, we aim to bring opportunities to kids between the ages of 8 and 12 to learn more about computer science. Kids are the best innovators and exposing them to as many educational experiences allows them to have more opportunities when they get older. Many schools have had to cut their computer curriculums and this delays children’s abilities to learn about coding. Computer science is the foreseeable future and it will soon be a necessary skill to have. By allowing kids to learn about it earlier, they became more well-rounded and develop important thinking skills for their future.

Kids Hack allows for children to have a fun educational experience and learn about coding through different games that they can code themselves using our written and video instructions. We offer our “Mini Hack” email subscription which is a four-week program, with weekly emails on how to code a new mini-game on Scratch by yourself, having each game focus on important topics in computer science. Our virtual option gives parents who are dealing with tough times the ability to keep their kids occupied doing something both fun and useful. Let all kids hack!

Friends Connect:

Friendz Connect is a platform created to connect people around the world and bring them together into a community. The purpose is for people to support one another in a difficult time like this and beyond as well and make meaningful connections. This will be accomplished by forming groups of 4 on zoom based on their interests that they will tell us on a google form they must fill out.

The K-Initiative:

“THE K INITIATIVE, was created in order to provide parents with relief when it came to purchasing toys for their children.” By providing parents with resources and
information, and thereby alleviating prominent issues in the consumer market, our goal is to be able to assist parents during these trying times, but most importantly help the kids”

Relief 4 Every 1:

“We want to provide relief to those struggling by raising money from the ones who give. This epidemic, Covid-19 changed the way we all live, for an unknown amount of time. This is a permeant organization unlike a temporary go found me page.”

Environment and Climate Change Organization:

What is it? It is a student led network that aspires to increase climate literacy through the use of media and partnerships. We are posting daily about recent issues around the world concerning the climate crisis as well as pollution. We are also now working on setting up live webinars to teach people on various topics. We will first do a general presentation on climate change and pollution as a whole. Then, we will move into more specific topics. Finally, as the covid-19 outbreak ends, we will be setting up local clean up efforts in order to raise awareness on local pollution struggles as well as educate people how to recycling products they usually believe they cannot (Gum to make water bottle plastic, expired food to make fertilizer, etc).
